Icebreaker Exercise
For our first class is Art portfolio we were asked to make a Icebreaker Exercise by recreating an artwork challenge. Firstly me and my classmate jesslyn start choosing one of the artworks that was given by our tutor and we ended up choosing the 'Boy with a basket of fruit' artwork by Caravaggio.
Boy with a basket of fruit, 1593, caravaggio
After this we started to gather materials together to recreate the Artwork that we have chosen. Firstly we got a fruit basket for the first item but the leaves were missing so I used a small artificial tree so I can take the leaves and use for the picture. Then we put the leaves according to the original artwork. Secondly we got a big black paper for the background where we used the other studio for a dark place as well. then we used our both phones one for the flashlight and one to take the picture.
And this is the outcome that we get. After we got the photo we started to work on the settings, firstly we changed the Exposure to -40 to make the light area bright more and -100 for the highlights, after that we changed the contrast to 11 to make the black background darker and the light brighter, then I changed the brightness to 49 and the Sharpness to 100 to make the features sharper, lastly I changed the saturation to 69 to give it the yellow colour .
This is the final outcome
