Architectural Model Making: skills week

Mount board suitable for study model there is a lot of colours of mount board, Black or Beige, but White/Beige is standard. Sometimes Mount board is difficult to cut  but with care you will get good, clean results.

 on 5/2 I have been in  architectural model making, and I have been introduced to new materials and how to use them in right the way. Firstly, I made a small box using a mount board, we measured  5cm by 5cm for each side to make a box then I cut the extra part and then I glued the 4 side together to make a box. Secondly, I did a curve by cutting it in a V style to be able to make the bend.

For the second task I made a scale house using mount board. firstly we measured each side in the corners of the mount board to have a sharp edge.   

 

After that I start cutting the walls using craft knife and cutting mate carefully to make the walls look neat and sharp, and to make the gluing easy.

 

I then used Tape to hold the four part together to make the gluing part easy.

This is the final outcome after gluing the four walls together the roof is missing but I will do it as soon as possible.
