Experiment & colour development- 1

In week four, we did some colour experiments to help us know which colours we can use within our work. FOr these experiments I used watercolours, Acrylic markers, pastel pencils. I applied these mediums to Complimentary, split complimentary, polychromatic, and analogous. Doing this experiments gives me a better understanding to colours and the usage of colours together.

for my first experiment I used split complementary colours with the help of colour wheel. for this work I used watercolours to have a light result, so I started with the floor I used blue colour and then I painted the table with a dark yellow, after that I started with the walls. For the walls I didn't want to make it all one bold colour so I painted each wall with a colour then I tried to mix them all together to have a fresh colour. and I painted the upper wall with the same colour of the table so I can match them together. In the table there is one thin block in the middle and the corner of it here I tried to colour it with a shade of grey or black but I failed. so I kept it as it is. However,  This one was not bad but, I didn't like the floor colour I think it is to dark for a floor, which will make the space much smaller and I need the opposite.

Here I tried the Japandi style using Watercolours and Acrylic Markers And I started with the colour brown for the floor, then I started to make really close hues to brown. Firstly I coloured the chair charcoal because it makes a good mix with brown and for the arm chair i used darker tone of brown using acrylic marker. Secondly, I meant to make the walls off-white but it end up with a really light grey colour but still i doesn't look that bad , the stands and the lights  has a dark brown colour. and then with a white pastel I did small lines into the table just to put a touch on it, And with a dark brown pastel I did the same to the floor walls and the chair. However, this one was to elegant for the store and for the clothes that will be inside it, I felt like its a one block and do not have any features or anything interesting.

This one was a big fail everything was mixed together and everything looks confused. I used acrylic marker and water colour. firstly i meant to make the floor light hue of orange but it got mixed with some blue which makes it not nice. The chair colour was to much and thats because i used acrylic marker for the chair and for the table as well both of them looks so bad and I didn't like any everything was to bright. However, I think if the store was to colourful and the clothes inside is to colourful it will not look good and it will be so annoying store so I decided to not make a colourful store. I tried but it was not successful try. Also the use of acrylic marker was hard and the colours was to heavy.

This is the last experiment, and I liked it the most. Firstly the floor colour meant to be the same colour but marble which has some whites in it. The table is also white marble and I mixed it with a light orange colour from the sides and black from the middle however i think the black was not really good but it is not bad. The wall is more to grey and white and that what i needed. I painted the chair with brown so it can match the shoe colour that will be in my store. Furthermore, the colour pink was not gong well with the design but I think with Marvins designs this one is the best for both Marvins and Mohammad designs.
