In this post I will make a research about the materials which will assist me, and consider which one I will be using for my project. the materials that will be included are natural materials such as, wood, textile, metal.

Lets start with marble stone. when it come to marble, marble is one of the best stones to choose from while designing any space because its advantage over other natural stones comes for it beauty which makes any space looks luxurious. Its practical features are balanced with its style, which is not the only thing that makes it unique (admin, 2021). Marble is one of the most adaptable material that is widely used worldwide for a variety of purposes including the exterior of the buildings, floors, and walls and gives stability for any place. "Marble provides an elegant, classy look for your living space. There are also green benefits of marble that enhance the quality of the environment." (Woodrow, 2021). Furthermore whats good in marble their is more than one colour and it has mixed colour which helps for more beautiful interiors.
Marble stone is considered as environmental-friendly as it is a natural store because marble exist in nature, it doesn't require permission to be produced which avoid pollution and conserves energy (admin, 2021). Moreover, no need to any mechanical support to produce marble but need manpower for harvesting, which release the gases into the atmosphere that comes from the machines "Eco-friendly products like marble are free from toxic chemicals and gases that could reduce the air quality of your home."(Woodrow, 2021).
porcelain Tiles
Procelain is an excellent option for any space, retail, or residential anything, they are among the most durable and easily cleaned materials, and they are available in a variety of hues and styles. Also the most sustainable option on the market in 23/24 because of its beauty and low cost. Porcelain is the most environmentally friendly choice for individuals looking to reduce their environmental effect, because they are long-lasting and recyclable material
(premierporcelain.co.uk, 2022). Moreover, they are also created using efficient energy and water systems, and no wast produced in their production process
(atlasconcorde, n.d.).
"Porcelain will last at least as long as the structure of the building – It’s almost totally inert, and does not produce any fumes or toxins even in the event of fire."(Editor, 2016), Porcelain is made from clay and minerals which means also that it is a really sustainable materials.
Orange paint can bring vibrant and energetic feel too any interior space which adds liveliness to it. Moreover, orange paint can transform the look and feel of the room. In addition, the colour orange for a fashion shop is stunning, and helps to catch the eye of the customers and leave lasting impression.
The Coat orange paint is a sustainable paint and friendly to the environment. The Coat paint is water based, Low VOC, and have no smell. All coat paint are free of harmful solvent, and child safe (COAT Paints, n.d.). Furthermore, it is recyclable which will not harm the environment

One of todays most environmentally friendly and energy efficient lighting options is LED, (light emitting diode. LED) light bulbs are made to live much more than traditional light bulbs is one of the key factors of it their reputation as being so environmentally friendly. The lifespan of the LED light bulbs is greater than the conventional lighting sources like halogen bulbs as it is very beneficial to the environment (Uk Energy Lighting, 2017). In addition, LED light gives a really modern vibe to interiors, and can create different moods with their adjustable brightness and colour options. Moreover, it adds a touch of elegance to the space which will help me to enhance the interior design of my space for my AP2 project.
Glass is created using recycled glass, also referred to as cullet, and natural raw materials such sand, soda ash, and limestone. Locally and sustainably sourced, these raw materials meet stringent requirements while also honouring the planet's ecosystems (Friends of Glass, 2021). However, other than than it is sustainable glass mirror is one of the most material that gives a natural beauty to any space, home, store. For my project mirrors is so important, because it can create the illusion of more space making a room feel larger and brighter.
According (Nevotex, 2023) nevotex fabric is made of recycled materials and is upholstered, making it good for public environment. Moreover, it has a certification by OEKO-TEX means the product dose not contain chemicals harmful to health (Nevotex, 2023).
However, In this term I am really likely to use most of these materials for my AP2 project. I am trying to have a sustainable design, so I chose my materials carefully. In this term i will use marble a lot with three different colours, and i chose it because it has a really good look for a fashion store and it is not expensive, almost everyone can afford it. The same for the LED light as I am going to have to many lights in my store.
Every material and colour have been used in project.
